New Vessel Orientation
Master Maritime provides personalized orientation for new boat owners and experienced owners who are considering a larger vessel or would just like to enhance their skill level. We encourage you to bring the boating companions on whom you need to safely rely (special rate for 2 or more additional people).
 
You will receive on your boat, in your harbor:

• Close-in maneuvering training in harbors and around docks and piers.
• Vessel-specific systems training such as pre-departure inspections of the engineroom and bilge, engine start-up procedures and troubleshooting.
• Navigational electronics best-practices training including radar, fathometer, GPS and chart plotter.
• Emergency procedure training including man overboard, self help for fire and flooding, and correct VHF ratiotelephone procedure when communicating with the Coast Guard.
• Regulation compliance recommendations for your boat’s equipment and paperwork.

Our instructors are USCG licensed Master Mariners who have logged hundreds of thousands of sea miles.
